Description
The Sinio component was replaced last year by Mario’s newer plantings in the Lirano vineyard. At a higher altitude of 350-400 metres, and with its south-east exposure, this site is cooler and better adapted to the challenges of climate change. The remaining 30% is still from a north-west facing section of Il Pozzo in Castiglione Falletto, which could be a Barolo, but Mario prefers to keep as Langhe Nebbiolo. As always, this is a direct and detailed wine, aged in cement and Slavonian oak botti. Above all, this sings with notes of blue fruit – blueberry and blackcurrant.Berry Bros. & Rudd
